CHAIR MIKE HAWKER called the Legislative Budget and Audit
Committee meeting to order at 9:34 a.m. Representatives Kito,
Olson, Thompson, and Hawker, and Senators Bishop and MacKinnon
were present at the call to order. Senator Hoffman arrived as
the meeting was in progress.

CHAIR HAWKER noted that there was a quorum to do business.

CHAIR HAWKER announced that the first order of business would be
the approval of the minutes.

SENATOR MACKINNON made a motion to approve the minutes of
September 10, 2015. There being no objection, the minutes from
the meeting of September 10, 2015 were approved.

SENATOR MACKINNON made a motion to approve the minutes of
October 7, 2015. There being no objection, the minutes from the
meeting of October 7, 2015 were approved.

CHAIR HAWKER announced that the committee would next go into
executive session.

SENATOR MACKINNON made a motion to move to executive session for
the purpose of discussing confidential audit reports under AS
24.20.301. There being no objection, the committee went into
executive session at 9:38 a.m.

CHAIR HAWKER brought the committee back to order at 11:01 a.m.
Present at the call back to order were Representatives Kito and
Thompson (via teleconference), Representatives Olson and Hawker,
Senator Bishop (via teleconference), and Senators Hoffman and
MacKinnon.

RELEASE OF AUDITS
SENATOR MACKINNON made a motion for the final audits for the
Alaska Agricultural and Fisheries Products Preference Use by
State Entities, the Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission, the
Citizens' Advisory Commission on Federal Areas, and the Real
Estate Commission (sunset) to be released to the public for
response. There being no objection, the aforementioned final
audits were released to the public.

SENATOR MACKINNON made a motion for the preliminary audit for
the Big Game Commercial Services Board sunset to be released to
the appropriate agency for response. There being no objection,
it was so ordered.

CHAIR HAWKER announced that at request of the Senate Resources
Standing Committee, the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee
had engaged professional contracts - for a sum not to exceed
$25,000 - with Roger Marks and Bill Barron to support various
committees, particularly the Senate Resources Standing
Committee, during the special session.
